Brownies

Brownies are a classic dessert known for their rich chocolate flavor and chewy texture. Whether served warm with ice cream or enjoyed on their own, they're a simple treat that never disappoints.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350° Fahrenheit and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder until fully combined.
  5. Add the flour, salt, and baking powder, and mix just until no dry streaks remain.
  6. Add in the chocolate chips if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly soft.
  9. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
